Lily is 7 years old, after a very busy 2023 show season last year with her ponies Lily is looking forward to 2024 with a few new aims in her head.

Lily has recently taken up, side saddle with her pony Bertie and is looking forward to getting in lots of practice ready for a few competitions this year. Lily's is also aiming to compete in some more mini One Day Events and Hunter Trials. As well as heading to agricultural and local county shows.

Last year Lilly was lucky enough to make it into the evening performance at the South West Pony Association championships under the lights and with music, for a 6 year old to achieve this by herself was impressive and she is rather keen to try make it there again.

Bertie is a fabulous Welsh Section A, and is a very versatile little pony.

Sarah is a 19-year-old inspiring eventer. Sarah has achieved her NVQ level 2 grooms’ qualification, gaining distinction in her riding. Sarah is currently working towards her BHS qualifications.

Sarah’s horse is called Amelia, who a 12-year-old ex-racehorse. Sarah bought Amelia in October 2022 and has been slowly retraining her, with the aim to eventually go BE (British Eventing)!  Sarah plans to get out and about as much as possible giving Amelia confidence and letting see the world a bit more. They will be attending clinics and unaffiliated shows including One Day Events.  The long-term goals is to aim for the Badminton Grassroots championships.

Sammie has worked in successful dressage yards including Stal Korenbloem & The Equine Elite Auction, where she has enhanced her skills to train and produce horses from grassroots to the top level. 

Now Sammie and her family own and run Glebe Farm in Whitestone near Exeter. Glebe Farm is a full livery yard. Sammie teaches and trains clients and clients horses of all levels, as well as riding her own string of dressage horses.

Femme Fatal – stable name Nancy. Sammie had the competitive ride on Nancy as a 5-year-old where they were Reserve 5-year-old National Champion, Nancy was then sold (which always part of the plan). Since then, Nancy has been to stud and bred 2 foals. Fast forward to 2023 where Sammie was offered to opportunity to buy Nancy.  Nancy is enjoying Devon life and Sammie has been training and get her back to full strength, with the 2024 aim is to take her out at medium level dressage and hopefully by the end of the year compete in Advanced Medium classes, along with qualifying for regionals and hopefully nationals.

Fern is a freelance BHS Accredited Coach and Rider, Coach for All-Steps Formation Riding and British Dressage Trainee Judge. Fern is a volunteer on the BHS Devon Committee, which helping raise awareness for our horses and to educate us riders and horse owners.

Silva is a 7-year-old, German Reit Pony. Fern has backed and produced Silva herself. Their 2024 aim is to start competing and the end of 2024 Fern would like to aim for Novice level dressage and potentially Prelim freestyle music too. Fern and Silva mainly focus on Dressage but keep life fun with polework and hacking!

Fern is available for coaching and riding, covering all of Devon and parts of Cornwall. 

Mat is a freelance rider and instructor. Mat started out eventing and then moved to dressage. Mat spent 6 years working, riding and training with Roland Tong and Ben St John James. More recently Mat is training regularly with Carl Hester. 

Mat has a growing string of horse which he train and competes for his clients.

Mat is Available for clinics, teaching and riding in all disciplines across south Devon.

Aimee is a 24-year-old amateur event rider, has an MSc in equitation science, BHS stage 2 coaching with her stage 3 coaching exam booked for this spring along with BHS stage 4 care and lunge. Aimee plans to take the ride part of the exam in the summer months of 2024.  Prior to working at Duchy College Aimee has previously been based in Wiltshire with 5 Star Event Rider (and Olympian!) - Lucinda Fredericks. 

Aimee’s horse is Sam, Aimee brought Sam as a 3-year-old straight off the track.  They are currently competing at BE100, aspiring to step up to novice at some point. However, their biggest goal this year is competing at Badminton Grassroots championships.
